The Grain of Irókò

Long before a board reaches the workbench, we read its grain like a map — it tells us where the tree leaned into the Lagos sun, and where a chair back should learn to bend for you.

A fitter in a WoodAccent hi-vis vest crouched at the drawers of a lit timber-grain wardrobe, cables and offcuts on the floor.

Where Every Joint Is Cut by Hand

No screws, no brackets — just wood meeting wood. A walk through the Baruwa Ipaja workshop floor where mortise-and-tenon joinery, refined over generations, still outlasts anything a machine can fasten.

A lit planter built under the stair of a finished Lagos home, black-edged and filled with white gravel and palms.

A Living Room in Ikoyi, Finished

A family asked for a room that could hold three generations at once, comfortably, every Sunday. Ten days and one Helix sofa later, here is what we built together.

Low along the burgundy velvet channels of the Helix, a brass table at the edge of the frame.
Process

One Curve, Many Channels

The Helix sofa reads as one unbroken curve. It isn't — it's a run of hand-filled channels, stitched and wrapped in a single length of velvet so the seams disappear.

From the bench to your home.

The pieces behind these stories are ready for the room you’re building.
